• When selecting a destination square to jump to, the cursor will now
change to a cross when you are over a square that you can move to.
• If the monitor setting was changed (e.g. from 256 to 16 colors) while
the game was running, the screen would mess up. The program will now
pop up a dialog asking the user to change the monitor back the way it
was.
• The caution dialogs (e.g. "save before quit?") now won't beep if sound is
off.
• The "you won!" dialog now suppresses the fanfare sound if the sound
option is off
• The warnings about saving before quitting/new game are now more intelli-
gent about knowing if you just saved, and won't ask again if you did.
• In 1.0, if the New Game menu was selected, and the program asked if
you wanted to save before starting a new game, and Yes was chosen, then
Cancel was selected in the Save As… dialog, the program would go ahead
and start a new game, instead of cancelling the New Game command. Should
now behave properly in v1.01
Future plans: I'm working now on adding difficulty levels to the game, and I'm also planning on adding an editor for anyone that wants to make a custom game to try out different strategies. Stay Tuned.
Special Note: Stained Glass is ALREADY system 7.0 compatible! Color Icon resources are included in the program file, so your Stained Glass program icon will appear in full 8-bit color when running System 7! I guess this makes Stained Glass the first 7.0 Studly game!
